After owning and running our beautiful bakery in Manhattan for 25 years we decided to explore having a totally different life experience .  

So we opened The Matchbox Cafe in Rhinebeck, NY.  Rhinebeck, the jewel of the Hudson Valley, where we own a fun little getaway house.  

Matchbox was successful from the first day.  How could it not be?  The glorious bounty of the lush Hudson Valley provides us with all the fresh grass fed, grain finished beef, all the free range chickens, and the exciting array of seasonally available vegetables that everyone craves. 

That is how we came to create our splendid MATCHBOXveggiBURGER.  

A wonderful, extremely substantial mixture of spinach, zucchini, potato and onion that is collecting fans by the minute!  We serve it at The Matchbox, and we sell them online on  our website:

There isn't any other menu that lists the sun, the moon, and the stars as key ingredients. 

We totally love this change of environment and all the new people we have met and catered to in the last eleven years. 

We have conquered Manhattan, and now the Hudson Valley...
